At the start of 2021, Digizuite welcomed seasoned martech leader Dean Read into the role of Chief Revenue Officer.

Dean comes to Digizuite with an invaluable martech perspective, having more than twenty years of experience in this realm. His most recent role was Senior Vice President of American Sales at Episerver. And, prior to his six years at Episerver, Dean served as a Senior Sales Manager at Sitecore.

“Over the years, I’ve developed an appreciation for the digital arms race organizations are currently in, and the desire to somehow build a strong central foundation off of which to bolt on Martech solutions that can be swapped out as the market and technology quickly evolves,” Dean said. “Digizuite provides the central content foundation, and Episerver and Sitecore customers are given a leg up with the best in class connectors we provide.”

Digizuite faces a period of rapid, significant growth in North America, and Dean Read was the perfect candidate to take the reins of the operation.

“Digizuite was looking for an experienced leader who lives and breathes customer centricity, which is one of our core values,” Kim said. “We also needed someone who could take on the rapid growth journey we are on while building a culture of transformation and innovation. We couldn’t have found a better fit and are really excited to have Dean onboard.”

Dean’s perspective on DAM: why Digizuite is the place to be

With a customer-first approach to sales, Dean’s first priority is to ensure that Digizuite customers maximize their ROI and achieve measurable success. As digital expectations soar throughout all industries, digital asset management will continue to play a central role for all businesses and organizations in positioning themselves to capture and properly capitalize on all opportunities in this digitally mature world.

“It is our job to help guide our customers on this complex journey, and we take the partnership with our customers seriously, which shows up in our 97% retention rate,” Dean said. “Digizuite is uniquely positioned within this channel integration requirement both in breadth and speed.“

Dean noted that, with artificial Intelligence (AI) expanding content personalization functionalities in martech platforms, the demand for digital content across all audiences will almost certainly increase. This translates to greater pressure on every company’s martech stack, and in turn, a greater need for sophisticated digital asset management tools.

This phenomenon has prompted analysts to predict that the DAM market will surpass $6B by 2025. As companies continue to invest in digital content, thought leadership research, and best practices, it will be imperative for them to have the ability to measure both asset performance and ROI.

“When I was looking at the current DAM landscape, I saw Digizuite as a vendor with a best-in-class solution, but still a relatively unknown brand in North America - not unlike Episerver when I joined them six years ago,” Dean said. “Ultimately, I saw a great market and a superior product – a golden combination.  When I found out that Digizuite is a company that truly put customers first my decision was made.”

Leading Digizuite’s North American growth initiative

Dean will lead Digizuite’s top-priority initiative to increase its presence and influence in all industries across North America, and he will waste no time adding driven, successful, and self-aware members to his team.

“The key to building a successful sales team is to attract people who are conscientious, curious and competitive,” he said. “However, the foundation of a great sales team is created within a culture of integrity, respect, and honesty wherein everyone is supported in their pursuit of customer-first curiosity and in their willingness to take risks.”
