Rikke Rasmussen rises into role of global COO

Since becoming a member of the Digizuite team in October 2020, Rikke Rasmussen has quickly escalated through the ranks. After joining the company as the Vice President of Service Delivery for the United States, Rikke officially became the organization’s Chief Operating Officer just months later, at the end of December. 

“It has been an amazing journey so far,” Rikke said. “I am so excited about leading the team to success. Our growth in the US is such an exciting part of Digizuite right now, and I took this COO job because I am confident I can add value to the expansion and our customers’ journey with us.” 

Rikke, who has an impressive and varied background in information technology management, noted that her time as VP of Service Delivery – a role in which she also functioned as a project manager – has already given her a certain edge as global COO. Working alongside Digizuite’s Professional Services team gave Rikke a better, more hands-on understanding of the service catalog and delivery. 

“I had time before I took over the responsibility for our entire service delivery,” Rikke explained. “It was a unique opportunity to meet and work with the teams in a way I never would have.” 

As COO, she takes on responsibility for the expansion of Digizuite internationally. 

"As COO, Rikke is tasked with accountability for our global delivery and with the responsibility of establishing localized service and support in North America,” Digizuite CEO Kim Wolters said. “Rikke has extensive experience in project delivery and global service operations. To ensure our operation is geared for growth, she will manage an area of our business that will be subject to a large amount of changes over the next part of our journey. I’m very confident that Rikke will successfully take the baton from [our previous COO, Frank Jensen,] and help our team grow through the changes required.” 

A rapidly globalizing company like Digizuite needs global leaders, and Rikke certainly fits the international bill. She is originally from Denmark, but has spent the majority of her professional life in other countries — Germany, Switzerland, Canada — and she will soon reside in the United States. 

Immediately before joining the Digizuite team, Rikke spent five years at the financial technology solutions provider, SimCorp, where was most recently the Head of Operations for North America. 

Before SimCorp, Rikke served in project and IT management roles for a variety of international corporations – including Bodum, Columbus IT, and Fleggaard.  

In addition to bringing valuable IT management experience to Digizuite, Rikke also comes to the MarTech table with a marketing perspective. It was at the consumer goods retail organization, Fleggaard, that she started as a marketing manager before ultimately transitioning to the IT side. 

“I was working in marketing, and seeing opportunities everywhere,” Rikke recalled. "I’ve always seized opportunities whenever and wherever they come, which is why I’ve traveled so much. Now at Digizuite, it’s the perfect place to be to combine the marketing and technology.” 

Still, it’s with the people – and the partnerships – that her real passion lies.

“No matter the industry, it’s the people and it’s the journey with the people that excites me the most," Rikke said. “It's taking people where they are – both people at the company and customers – and helping to set a joint journey so that everyone maximizes their potential. Our customers are what is building this enterprise, and I want to make sure we continue to earn their loyalty. Creating these true relationships requires transparency. What I love about Digizuite is that of course, the product itself is unique and brilliant, but the team and the customers differentiate us, too.”
